Compassionate Individual Therapy for Adults

A Holistic Action-Based Approach

My passion and specialty is working with adults from a holistic perspective to heal the mind and body. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful individuals who come to therapy wanting not only deeper insight and self-understanding, but also practical tools to help them reduce stress and navigate everyday life.

That's why I draw from both top-down approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps to work with thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns, as well as bottom-up approaches, including somatic strategies and nervous system regulation, which help us learn ways to effectively process stored stress in the body.

Clients also appreciate having a supportive space to reflect and identify small, manageable action steps they can take between sessions to move them closer to the life they would like to create.

Therapy often gradually becomes a space not only to process challenges, but also for my clients to reflect on the meaningful steps, experiences, and moments of growth they've been creating in their everyday lives.
  • Nervous system regulation and somatic therapy to help your body come out of stress mode so you can feel more grounded, calm, and steady.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to give you practical tools to shift unhelpful thoughts, reduce overthinking, and feel more in control day to day.
  • Psychodynamic insight to help you understand the deeper patterns and past experiences that may be contributing  to anxiety, low mood, or feeling stuck.
  • Mindfulness-based practices and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand your parts and strengthen your ability to navigate difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Solution-focused strategies to clarify your goals and take meaningful, manageable steps toward the life you want.
  • Compassion focused work to reduce self criticism and build a more supportive, resilient relationship with yourself.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you reconnect with your values and move forward even when anxiety or uncertainty shows up.
  • Resources and between session practices so you can start feeling empowered and see progress in your daily life.

My approach often blends:

If it feels helpful, we may also thoughtfully integrate additional holistic providers in your community. These may be related to yoga, mindfulness, movement, nutrition, acupuncture, or other restorative practices. Together, we'll explore what resources help you feel more connected, energized, and empowered.

You deserve support that honors the full picture of who you are.

Additional Wellness Resources to Nourish Your Whole Self

A typical session may include:

  • Exploring current stressors and emotions
  • Identifying patterns or underlying beliefs
  • Learning personalized evidence-based strategies that support mind and body healing (often supported with visuals and resources which many clients find helpful)
  • Mindfulness exercises, nervous system regulation techniques, and role-plays when appropriate
  • Guidance related to small realistic steps to try between session that support progress toward your therapy goals

I've found that meaningful positive change often comes through this holistic approach that brings together insight, accessible tools, and action to support both mind and body healing.

What Makes My Approach Different Than Traditional Talk Therapy

When life feels overwhelming, therapy can be a comforting oasis.

I often invite clients to bring to session their favorite warm drink, soft blanket, scented candle, or anything else that makes therapy feel like a peaceful exhale from the stress and demands of daily life. There's no need to show up perfectly or have everything figured out here. This is a space where you can slow down, breathe, and simply show up as you are.

Here's What Life Can Look Like

You move beyond simply "getting through" the week and begin feeling more connected, joyful, and rooted in your values.
